1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StatusEmbed ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StatusEmbed provides automated uptime monitoring and public status pages for web services. The Service includes HTTP monitoring, incident detection, subscriber notifications, and embeddable status widgets.

3. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to provide accurate and complete registration information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Monitor endpoints you do not own or have permission to monitor.
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, access controls, or other security measures.
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without written consent.
  • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code through the Service.

5. Plans & Billing

StatusEmbed offers Starter (free), Pro ($15/month), and Business ($49/month) plans. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance windows will be communicated in advance when possible. StatusEmbed is not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions.

7. Data Ownership

You retain all rights to your data. StatusEmbed does not claim ownership of any content you submit. We use your data solely to provide and improve the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatusEmbed and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before account deletion.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
